By servicing your vehicle(s) at Glenforest Garage you can be confident that we will always look out the best interest of your vehicle(s) as well as your own without worrying about hidden costs or fees, as no service is performed without first getting approval from yourself.
Third-Generation Owner
Hey, I’m Quin — proud third-generation owner of Glenforest Garage, which has been in the Thielmann family for over 65 years! First owned by my grandfather Bruno, then my dad Paul and uncle Walter and now me! Carrying on what my grandfather started and my dad built means a lot to me. He always taught me that the most important part of this business isn’t just repairing vehicles — it’s caring for our customers and giving them true peace of mind about the safety and reliability of their vehicles. That’s the standard I live by every day.
Outside of work, I’m often building something — whether it’s a BBQ, a deck, a piece of furniture, a sauna or even a full travel trailer. I’ve always loved working with my hands and watching ideas take shape. When I’m not building, I’m outdoors chasing adventures. My hobbies include snowboarding (my biggest passion, which I used to compete nationally in), climbing mountains, yoga, cycling, weight lifting, rock climbing, camping, or just exploring new corners of the world. Believe it or not, I’ve even been struck by lightning along the way (kind of). I’ve completed a half ironmax and ultra marathon. I’ve even climbed the tallest mountain in Canada in -40 degree weather.
I recently got engaged to my amazing fiancée Katie, and we spend as much time as we can exploring the world together with our two small dogs, Kiwi and Bunny. For me, the best things in life aren’t things; they are experiences, memories and human connections that make an impact and last a lifetime.
Licensed Automotive Technician
Hi, I’m Mark and I have over 25 years experience in the industry. When I’m not fixing or maintaining your vehicle you can find me on trail with my mountain bike in nicer weather or when the temps start getting colder in a tree stand waiting patiently. I prefer the outdoors to in, especially with close friends and family.
Licensed Automotive Technician
I’ve been a mechanic for over ten years and all of them are right here at Glenforest Garage!
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a passion for anything with an engine. When I’m not working on cars, I’m usually tinkering with or riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, or pretty much any other motorized toy I can get my hands on.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors. In the summer you’ll find me on the golf course or up in cottage country on the water, and in the winter I’m usually skiing. Being outside is where I’m happiest!

Licensed Automotive Technician & Operations Manager
Hi there, my name is Kristian, but I often go by Kris here at Glenforest Garage. I started my automotive technician career at Glenforest Garage in 2021 on a bit of a whim, and am now a proud, fully certified mechanic. I’ve loved cars since before I could formulate sentences. As my Nona often recounts, I was routinely mesmerized by cement and dump trucks, and have had hot wheels toy cars for as long as I can remember. It is fulfilling to be surrounded by cars on a daily basis and it is my pleasure to make car ownership and maintenance just that little bit easier for the average driver. Fortunately, my favourite car brands are Ferrari and BMW, so I have a lot more learning to do to be able to fix such problematic but rewarding driving machines, but that is the dream. Unfortunately, I am a Toronto sports fan, particularly of the Maple Leafs, but love watching sports regardless. My family and friends are most important to me, and enrich my life every day.
I enjoy being outside during the summer, whether that be at a cottage or camping or riding my bike throughout the city. In the winter I love to ski, which is something I have enjoyed doing since I was 3 years old. I hope to one day ski throughout the Alps and spend more than 30 seconds on a ski run, which is the state of affairs here in Ontario. I live downtown and drive my 22 year old manual Volkswagen Golf to work every day, but hope to rely on it less and bike/subway more often in future summers.
I do my best every day to provide the best possible experience for you to bring your car into us, whether you’ve been a customer here since before the first moon landing or you got your first car yesterday and you can’t figure out how to turn the radio volume down. I look forward to seeing you soon (but hopefully not too soon, or too often).
